National executive of the National Youth Coalition for Jonathan/Okowa 2015 in association with Tompolo Grassroots Movement led by Olatunji Olusoji said it recently mobilised over 5,000 youths at the Delta State Trade Fair Complex at Osubi, near Warri from different local government areas including Uvwie, Udu, Warri South, Warri South West and Okpe local government areas to solicit their votes for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and President Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming elections scheduled for February 14th and 28th respectively.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Chief Newyear Iffie, Director of Mobilisation of the group, called on the youths in Delta State to come out in large numbers to vote for the duo of Jonathan and Okowa come February.
Iffie admonished the youths to shun politics of violence and not to allow themselves to be used as tools in the hands of politicians who are bent on causing trouble during the elections and urged them to continue to stand by the Peoples Democratic Party, adding that it is the only party that can bring about the desired development, transformation and dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Iffie further assured the youths that the Okowa government would not neglect the youths because they are the life wire of any society.
In a related development, Olatunji, thanked the youths for the large turnout recorded at the event, even as he expressed confidence in the candidacy of Okowa and Kingsley Otuaro.
Onoriode Oborovwori, a youth leader from Osubi, who spoke on behalf of the youths, commended the two group for the initiative and assured the members of their loyalty to the PDP and their desire to vote for Okowa.
