A one-day training workshop for all motor licensing officers of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) has been held in Benin City.

It was aimed at brainstorming and articulating ideas on the processes and registration of vehicle licenses.

The workshop was graced by stakeholders, including the Executive Chairman, EIRS, Chief Oseni Elamah, Executive Directors, EIRS, Officials of FRSC, SSS, VIO and resource persons.

In his address, Chief Elamah, averred that the realization of the workshop objectives was apt as it affords an opportunity that would help provide for an enabling environment for sharing positive ideas.

He expressed delight over the training workshop, saying that the programme would further afford stakeholders the avenue to exchange ideas, interact and come up with a well articulated policy that would help participants meet their obligation especially on the area of motor licensing.

“I am delighted that we were able to come together under one umbrella to exchange ideas”, stated Elamah.

The Edo State Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr. Luka Ikpi, lauded the executive chairman of EIRS for the initiative describing the event as timely, especially as it aligns with the FRSC’s effort of moving Edo State forward.
