Leaders and the newly elected local government executive of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State have passed a vote of confidence on the governor of the state, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, and the chairman of the council, Godwill Aigbodion.
They made their position known during stakeholders’ meeting and the inauguration of the newly elected ward chairmen by the APC local government chairman, Tunde Omoruan, at the party secretariat Sabongidda Ora.
Addressing the people at the meeting, the Chairman, Tunde Omoruan, informed the members of their inauguration by the state chairman of APC, Mr. Anselm Ojezua, and subsequently urged them to go back to their respective local governments to ensure that APC remains the party to beat.
He further said that the people can see what the governor is doing across the state, which the local government chairman, Aigbodion, is replicating in the local government area after just one year in office. He said he has performed tremendously in education, health, water and renovation of the council secretariat.
Omoruan called on the members to put their house in order and come together for them to fight the battle ahead and also join hands with the chairman to move the local government forward for the benefit of all.
