Okowa, Edozie, Olu Of Warri, Others For Delta Role Model Award

Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Asagba of Asaba, HRM, Prof. Chike Edozie and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II are among notable sons of Delta slated to receive the Delta Role Model Biennia Award.

Others on the list include former Minister of Information, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, President General of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Engr. Chief Joe Orode Omene and Arc. O.C Majoroh.

Also listed are: Olorogun David Edevwie, Chief, Mrs. Rita Emerho, Hon. Leo Ogor, Chief Johnson Opene and Chief Albert Okumagba.

The organiser of the Biennia award event, Don2Dammy Production in collaboration with African Child Foundation, said that the awards which would hold on August 25 was in recognition of the contributions of the awardees to the state since creation as well as creating a well navigated road map “for a greater Delta of our collective dream.”

Mr. Onosakponome Donatson, the President and initiator of the DREAMS, said in a press release that this year event would also showcase the cultural heritage of Delta State.

He said that the recipients of this year award passed through rigorous selection process guided by Patriotism, career excellence commitment to human capital development and integrity.

Donatson said that he initiated the award to create role model for Delta youths to emulate insisting that it is the only way to inculcate positive values in them.
