Delta State Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Sunny Onuesoke has commended the action of the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in sending two Bills to Delta State House of Assembly few days after resuming office, describing his action as someone who has plan for the well being of the people of Delta State.
Just few days after he assumed office, Okowa sent two bills – a bill for a law to establish the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency and a bill for a law to establish the Delta State Technical and Vocational Education Board, to Delta State House of Assembly.
Speaking to newsmen in Asaba, Delta State, Onuesoke said Okowa kick-starting work while others were still celebrating their inauguration is in keeping with the promise he made minutes after his inauguration that he would create better life for the people.
“His action also signify that Delta State has got a governor that is hungry to work and develop the well being of the people of the state,” Onuesoke said.
According to him, the two bills the governor sent to the House of Assembly will help attract development to the state and also produce human skills for self employment thereby reducing the rate of unemployment among the youths.
