THE Nigeria Lorry and Truck Drivers Association (NILODA) has told drivers to comply with the laws and rules of government in the payment of required road tax.

President of the association, Boniface Chiedozie, speaking at the inauguration of the Warri branch, reiterated the determination of NILODA to protect its members from victimisation and intimidation by road users.

He noted that members were in charge of hauling and distribution to their final destination, saying, “Your services are recognised by the government and they do everything possible including making laws to protect your interest.”

According to him, the association has branches across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, maintaining that the sole aim was to “ensure that services of the association are at the door step of every member”.

Chiedozie said every member will call to rescue wherever he goes throughout Nigeria for quick and immediate response should any member be victimised or intimidated by agents.
