Ibori said, “Deltans have spoken with their collective resolve to vote Okowa to lead them as the Governor of Delta State in the next four years.
“This is a great demonstration of love towards a man who has used the past 16 years of his public service to build bridges of friendship across ethnic divides.
“Ours is to celebrate this milestones victory that will remain sweet even in the years to come”.
He added that Okowa will take Delta State to the next level of development and advised all well meaning Deltans to join hands with him in the onerous task of building the state of our collective dream.
In his congratulatory message, veteran second Republic Secretary of the defunct National Party of Nigeria (NPN) Sowho, described Okowa’s victory as God’s will propelled by cognate hard work.
He said Okowa’s election has undoubtedly balanced the power equation and ultimately entrenched the rotation principle of the PDP in the state.
