Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, Philip Shaibu, has stated that the incoming administration at the centre to be led by President-elect Muhammadu Buhari would bring together all segments of the country to achieve optimum result in governance and free Nigerians from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slavery.

The erstwhile president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) said his knack for fighting for the rights of people would be intensified now that he is Abuja bound having won the

Etsako House of Representatives seat on March 28. “Aluta is all about righting the wrongs. It is all about fighting against oppression. And for me PDP has been demystified and by the grace of God we want to make a difference.  “The difference we want to make is synonymous with our war against second slavery. “For long the PDP has enslaved us. Since the release of the result of the elections of Saturday, May 28, all Nigerians have been released from the bondage they found themselves under PDP 16 year rule.

“As we move into the new era I am convinced that we will join forces with President-elect Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that development that Nigerians are in dire need of gets to them.

“For instance, look at the power sector. Nothing meaningful has been achieved in that sector. These are some of the positive changes the All Progressives Congress, APC, is bringing to bear from May 29, 2015,” he concluded.
