Presiding Bishop of St. Peter’s Christ Army Church of Nigeria, Bishop Dibie Promise, has called on Christians to always give thanks to God in great things and little things.
Bishop Dibie said this during the thanksgiving service and birthday ceremony of the executive chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Mrs. Benedicta Ndudi Osakunih-Izuegbu, at God’s Worshippers’Assembly Worldwide, Obiaruku.
The clergyman said it is good to give thanks to God in order to experience open doors. “Make thanksgiving a habit and you will always see God at work in your life”, he stated.
He further enjoined the chairman and her husband not to play down the importance of thanksgiving to God, adding that God fights for givers and that He (God) will always stand by them throughout their administration and beyond.
He also advised the couple not to trust in man “because it is in man’s nature to fail but God never fails anyone that puts his/her trust in Him.
“If you want to succeed, you must seek the counsel of the Lord; ask God for wisdom in all your dealings and make your administration accessible to the people.” the Bishop advised.
In her testimony during the service, Mrs. Izuegbu expressed her gratitude to God for her victory at the local government elections and her subsequent swearing-in. She thanked God for keeping her alive to celebrate her 42nd birthday and the reunion of her family.
“There’s none like my God. He is the greatest. I will serve Him for the rest of my life. God is wonderful to my people and there is nothing He cannot do”, she asserted.
Highlight of the celebration was the distribution of baby things to pregnant women across the council area. Also, motorcycles were distributed to some party faithful for their steadfastness and loyalty.
Meanwhile, the founder of God Worshipers’ Assembly Worldwide, His Lordship, Bishop Nmalagu Greatman, has stressed the need for Christians to have a repentant heart and pay their tithes in order to be partakers of God’s blessings.
