Deputy majority leader of the House of Representatives and member representing Isoko federal constituency, Hon Leo Ogor, celebrated Christmas day with orphans.
The federal lawmaker, who visited the Ascension Grace Outreach Centre situated at Irri, Isoko South local Government area of Delta State with friends and associates, said he embarked on the gesture because he was proud to associate with the kids, and also an opportunity to identify with them at the festive period.
He read Matthew chapter 25:35, “for I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me”.
Earlier the founder of the Children Revolution Foundation, Rev. Precious Abraham, appealed to the visitors at the church service to their challenges, which include hostel accommodation for the orphans, which is currently under construction through the effort of the federal lawmaker.
Highlight of the visit was brief refreshment with the kids, donations and pledges by associates of the lawmaker. One of the associates, Nelson Ejakpovi, gave a scholarship to one of the orphans; Dr. Paul Oweh free promised free medical services to the orphans; Barr Paul Emerhana pledged bags of rice on monthly basis to the foundation.
