Bishop of His Presence Ministry, Port Harcourt, Dr. Bob-Manuel Ibioku, has said it is the will of God for President Goodluck Jonathan and Nicholas Mutu, House of Representatives member, representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, to be in office beyond 2015 and those fighting against their ambition would be doomed, sayin that they are opposed to the will of God.
The cleric posited that no amount of treachery against President Jonathan and Mutu will change the will of God in their lives, stressing that God has anointed the duo to lead the nation and the Bomadi/Patani federal constituency beyond 2015.
Ibioku stated this in a sermon during this year’s Akugbene for Christ crusade organised by Akugbene Christian Fellowship. He said, as Christians, the church members were duty bound to pray for political leaders, advice, guide and counsel the leaders and encourage them to fulfil their contractual obligation to the people.
The bishop maintained that God will not allow any ungodly politician to lead the people, reminding those in exalted political positions to know that blessing comes from God and not by one’s strength. He tasked political leaders to always seek the face of the Lord and discharge the obligations with the fear of God.
The cleric, while calling for sober reflection in the period of Christmas and New Year, he noted that, as from the days of old to the present, ’’when a star wants to be born’’ evil force would like to thwart it,” stressing that Christians should always pray for the leaders.
Bishop Ibioku other four bishops and over 50 men of God anointed Mr. Mutu and Mr. Pius Labo, the Bomadi PDP House of Assembly candidate, praying for their success in forthcoming election.
Earlier, Mutu thanked God for his victory at the Bomadi/Patani House of Representatives primaries. He enjoined members of the congregation to always look up to God. He further showed appreciation to his followers especially for the youth, women, elders ex-militants for believing him pledging to always be himself.
