“Agbarha Warri League is committed to the emancipation of Warri Urhobo and by the grace of God, Agbarha Warri League will succeed in the struggle for emancipation of Warri Urhobo”.
These were the words of Jackson Egbedi, president of Agbarha Warri League in his address at the 30th annual end of year yarty of the Agbarha Warri Club at Shell Club, Ogunu, over the weekend.
Egbedi expressed gratitude to God for the growth of the club. He also extended his appreciation to the patrons of the club for their support and to members for their commitment to the ideals of the club.
In his speech, Chief Dennis Oghenebukome Omovie, member representing Warri South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly and a member of the club, noted that Agbarha Warri League has moved to the next level for attaining 30 years and for its achievements so far.
On his part Chief Jonathan Ashimo Ayiwe, a patron of the club noted that the Agbarha Warri league is a pace setter in Agbarha Kingdom Warri and prayed that the club should continue to wax stronger daily.
Hon. Daniel Reyenieju, member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representative also spoke on the occasion.
Some other eminent personalities present on the occasion included Chief Henry Ikpuri (patron), Hon. David Tonwe, Barr. Union Kweki-Ibi (member and legal adviser, Warri South PDP), Mr. Dafe Ikpuri (immediate part vice chairman, Warri South Transition Committee), Chief Emmanuel Ememu (member and president-general Agbarha Warri Improvement Union), Chief Westham Adehor, Comrade Akpojotor Adjarho (member of Urhobo People’s Integrity Organisation), Friday Emiforniye among others.
