It was a gathering of who is who when Chief Henry Ofa and members of his family appreciated God Almighty at the 2014 annual thanksgiving service of the Assemblies of God Church, Otorho Road, Ogharefe, Delta State.
Ofa, who was the first to be called upon to give a special thanksgiving to God at the church auditorium, told newsmen after the service that he was giving back to God what He has given him and his family. He said further that he was thanking God for His protection, provision and for preserving his first son Master Ogheneochuko Ofa Jnr, who turned seven years on November 30.
Ofa, who was the chairman of the Harvest Thanksgiving Ceremony Committee of the church, also thanked God for the successful celebration that attracted many guest from all over Delta State and beyond, remarking that it was God, who made the celebration possible, just as he advised Christians to always give to God for his blessings.
Ofa, who represents Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe Local Government Areas on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), enjoined believers in Christ to always love themselves, give to the needy and forgive those who wronged them, saying this is the only way one can attract blessings from God. He appealed to children of God to live in righteousness, adding that no one knows the day of the rapture and all should be prepared to meet Christ.
He enjoins all government officials and even those out of government to serve God on Sundays and every other day of their life diligently, a day set out for His children to worship, adding that anything contrary to this is disobedience before God who created every man on earth by placing human being on it to serve Him, explaining that all believers should thank God all Sundays considering His blessing on every one.
Ofa called on Christians to emulate Jesus Christ and give perfect worship to God.
