The Commissioner of Police in-charge of Eastern Ports Police Command, Mr. James Olatunji Caul-crick, has said the command is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring adequate security at the ports.
Caulcrick made this assertion during a chat with Daily Independent in his Port Harcourt office at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Port Harcourt.
He said the command is mindful of the current challenges in the country and had beefed up security at the Ports to ensure that there is no room for any act of sabotage or security lapses.
The Eastern ports police boss hinted that he had instructed his officers and men to be extra vigilant to forestall any criminal activities at the ports under the command, stressing that efforts were being intensified for the deployment of Explosive Device Department to boost security at the ports.
According to11 him, although there had not been any serious security challenges since he assumed duty as commissioner of police, Eastern Ports Police command, pointing out that, “No serious challenges in policing duties as officers and men are effectively providing the services as constitutionally required to satisfy all port users”.
