Edo State woman leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Aisosa Ann Amadasun, says the restoration of democracy in the country has helped to reshape all sectors of the economy from being pariah nation to a robust and safe haven for investors.
Amadasun, who re-evaluated the gains attained since the restoration of Democracy as Nigerians marked Democracy Day, enthused that significant progress had been recorded in massive infrastructural development in Edo State.
Amadasun, who was elected at the just concluded state congress of APC said that Edo State has witnessed rapid transformation in all sectors, since the inception of the Oshiomhole-led administration.
She pointed out that the pace which the government revamped the education sector, with massive construction of state-of-the-art school buildings to enhance academic excellence, human capacity building with the training of teachers was an indication that the government has a focus to reposition the sector for effective and efficient service delivery.
Amadasun saluted the vision, focus and courage of Adams Oshiomhole for being the vanguard and agent of positive change in spite of the challenges.
She pointed out that what Oshiomhole government has done in Edo State since the mandate was restored has shown that democracy still remains the best option to add value to the lives of the people and eradicate economic despondency.
Amadasun also stated that the great heart, character and leadership qualities of the governor has been put into display by ushering in a new dawn for the people which will not go unrewarded.
Amadasun congratulated the state government and the people of Edo State for witnessing another round of democracy day, and called for prayers from all democrats to propel the government in actualizing its vision of taking the state to the next level.
