Members of Idokpa Community Development Association in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State have described the appointment of Chief John Osamede Adun, the Ayobahan of Benin Kingdom as the Sole Administrator of Edo Line Transport Company Limited, as divine. Through its Chairman, Mr. Nosa Obamwonyi, the group posited that Adun, who is also the chairman of a renowned transport company, Bob Izua Motors Limited, would use his experience in the transport industry to bring Edo Line back to life.
He pointed out that Edo Line Transport Company Limited was the first premier transport company in the country which needed to be preserved and protected with all interest.
The group thanked the Executive Governor of Edo State, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, for appointing Adun in merit and assured him of Adun’s desires to uplift the standard of the transport company to a greater height.
Obamwonyi posited that Adun’s exemplary leadership qualities in Benin Kingdom had been adjudged as the best since the advent of democracy in Nigeria.
