the late John Ologho-Onoyivwi of Orhuwhorun town gathered to witness the wedding of their children, Miss Ufuoma Eyesio and Samson Ologho.

The wedding ceremony, which held at the Life Reviving Gospel Mission, River Road, Ekete Waterside, had Olorogun Benson Kupa, Engr. and Mrs. Mike Okuande, chairman Prison Ministry, Rev. S. O. Onakovwen, Avenue Baptist Church, Captain Victor Okagbare, president general, Orhuwhorun, staff of Baptist Theological Seminary, Eku, and others in attendance.

The officiating ministry, Pastor Joseph Adjeke, in his exhortation, said the Lord Jesus Christ ordained marriage when He attended a wedding at Cana of Galilee, adding that marriage is a gift of God in creation and a means of grace.

According to him, “Marriage is a holy mystery in which a man and woman become one flesh. That is why as husband and wife, they must give themselves to each other in love throughout their lives and they should be united in their love as Christ is united with His church”.

Adjeke noted that God instituted marriage and that was why in Genesis 2 verse 18, the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner for him.” According to him, therefore God created the woman with a rib He took from the man.

After the wedding at Revival Gospel Mission, the crowd moved to Slyvine Hotel, DSC Express where entertainment of guest and merrymaking followed.

Father of the bride, Iroro Eyesio, advised the couple to love one another. He explained that marriage is a unique institution that if carefully consummated brings joy and progress to one’s life.

Addressing newsmen at the end of the ceremony, Ologho thanked his in-laws for bringing up Ufuoma in a wonderful and God-fearing manner, stressing that he was highly favoured to have her for a wife. He extended immense appreciation to the guests who turned up in large number to make the day a huge success.
