Ugbolokposo Market to be Commissioned soon – Utuama

The ultra modern Ugbolokposo Market, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area will be commissioned by Governor Emmanuel Uduagan very soon.

Deputy Governor Amos Utuama gave the cheering news in his speech during the courtesy visit of the Adhoc Committee on Environmental Sanitation in Warri and its environs to HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewan Sideso, Abe I, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, at his temporary palace, along Jakpa Road, Effurun, over the weekend.

Utuama, who said works that will enhance the opening of the market have been completed, disclosed that the governor has given a directive that the market should be opened in the next ten days and that those traders to whom the stores were allocated should be informed to take their stores. “To ensure that this happened in the next few days, we are going to have a meeting here (the temporary palace of the Ovie).

“We will look at the previous allocations, revalidate them and invite the allotees to take up their respective stores”

The deputy governor had earlier recalled that the market was to be commissioned about ten years ago but for certain reasons which he said the audiences were aware of.

He also gladly informed the highly respect traditional ruler that in no distance time, Delta State will have its own independent power plant in order to boost power generation in the state.
