A research-based support group, Adams Oshiomhole Study Group, has condemned the increase in vandalism of renovated infrastructure in public schools across Edo State and the wanton criticism of government’s good intentions on various issues in recent times.
Coordinator of the group. Joseph Gbale, who led other members of the group made the statement during a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Chief Oseni Elamah, in Benin City.
Gbale informed Chief Oseni Elamah that the group is dedicated to defence and promotion of the ideals of good governance, people-centred development, public finance prudence and accountability, which the Oshiomhole administration has stood for since inception.
Gbale posited that the pivotal role of Elamah as a patron of the Adams Oshiomhole Study Group would further re-invigorate the values which have endeared the Adams Oshiomhole brand-name to the citizenry.
He expressed the resolve of the group to serve as a formidable non-governmental diplomatic corps with the objective of being the first and last line of defence of the man, Adams Oshiomhole and his legacies.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service, Chief Oseni Elamah, thanked the group for the visit, saying that he is proud to associate with any group that had a lot of offer the society.
Elamah described the Adams Oshiomhole Support Group as a formidable group that will sustain the legacies of the Adams Oshiomhole administration.He commended members of the group for the confidence in the programmes and policies of the Oshiomhole administration.
