Ofuoma community gets new executive

The Ofuoma community in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State has sworn in new executive with a charge to bring meaningful development, peace and unity and among others to the community.

Performing the swearing in ceremony at the community town hall on the instance of the council of elders, chiefs and youth leaders, by  Chief D. J. Afatakpa, the community urged the newly elected executive headed by Sir Godfrey Etabuko (president) to work harder to foster unity, peace and development in the area.

In his acceptance speech, the new president, Etabuko, promised to carry everyone in the community along in his government while he sued for maximum co-operation of the community.

Etabuko pledged his loyalty to the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, council of elders and chiefs and the youth body adding that, the health centre built in the community by the present Delta State administration will go a long way to ameliorate the suffering of the people.

Among those sworn in along with Etabuko included: Michael O. Eyamekware, vice president; Oghenero Donatus, secretary; Ephien Francis, PRO; Irivie Jackson, speaker; Otalekor Francis, financial secretary.
