Lawmaker promises democracy dividends to Isoko South

Member representing Isoko South One Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Benjamin Essien-Okiemute, has presented his stewardship to his constituents with a promise to provide the people more dividends of democracy.

He said he is very passionate about the education, security of lives and properties as well as improving the standard of living of the people, overall socio-economic development of Isoko nation and the state.

It was the third in two and half years as a member of the state legislature to brief his constituents of his stewardship and to know their problems and aspiratons.

Essien-Okiemute, who spoke at Irri, near Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area, said he has ensured that the voice of the people were heard on the floor of the House, naming sponsorship of two bills and contributing to debates on several other bills and motions to his credit.

He stated that all his 2012 and 2013 constituency projects including school infrastructure at Ivrogbo, Irri, Ada, Ivory, Ikpide and Emede had been completed.

He also named renovation of a dilapidated block of classrooms at Ivrogbo Grammar School; provision of portable drinking water at Urusewe in Oleh; complete overhaul of two water projects at Ivrogbo and Utue communities; electrification of Isoko Central School, Oleh; construction of two kilometers Emede Community main road and renovation of the dilapidated Utue Community Town Hall, to his credit.

Others include appointment of two aides from each ward within Isoko South One Constituency; provision of fifty four cars and four hundred and ninety two motorcycles to constituents; facilitation of employment  for his constituents into state and federal civil service; recruitment of 26youths into the armed forces and police; floating of Micro Credit Scheme; provision of starter packs to 901 constituents to boost their saloon and sewing trades among others.
