Royal Fathers in Delta State have been urged to continue in their efforts at sustaining peace and security of lives and property in their dormain for the good of all.
Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, gave the advice at the presentation of staff of office to Anthony Onwelikwu Ogboli, the Obi of Ejeme-Aniogor Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State. Uduaghan, who was represented by his Deputy, Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama (SAN), urged the monarch to justify the confidence reposed in him by his people and the state government in ensuring the maintenance and improvement of high integrity enjoyed by the exalted throne. His words: “Let me remind HRM, that as father of all, you are the symbol of the people’s custom and tradition, including the hub around which the socio-economic life of this community revolves. I wish to advise therefore, that you display selflessness, impartiality and maintain a level playing ground in your day to day administration”. While congratulating the Obi and Ejem-Aniogor community for a peaceful selection process, he urged them to take advantage of government programmes to boost their output as well as form cooperative societies to enable them access facilities of the state’s micro credit programme.
