A support group, United Mandate for Jonathan Organization (UMJ), which aims include “propagation of the achievements and good works of President Goodluck Jonathan administration’’ ahead of 2015 polls, has been launched in Effurun, Delta State.
Officials of the group included Chief Godwin Bogban, National Coordinator; Kolawole Adesioye, National Publicity Secretary; Mr. Gabriel Ogboriaphien, South-South Coordinator; Mr. Peter Charles, South East Coordinator; Mr. Abiodun Tade, South West; Mr. Olalekan Ganiyu, North Central; National Women Coordinator, Lady Josephine Akpapunam; National Treasurer, Olorogun Joe Amurun; and the National Organizing Secretary, Ebi Barbar.
Others are National Auditor, Mr. Adewusi Taiwo, Assistant National Secretary, Jeffery Efeurhobo, ex-officio member, Comrade Osaze, deputy woman mobiliser, Dudu Rose Egbara.
Speaking at the launch, its National Coordinator, Chief Godwin Bogban, said after the inauguration, efforts would be intensified to take the gospel of UMJ to every nook and cranny of the country.
According to him, there is no doubt that the Jonathan administration has delivered more dividends of democracy to more Nigerians than any other administration in the history of the nation.
He listed some of the President Jonathan’s achievements to include good road network, regular power supply, uninterrupted fuel supply, establishment of more federal universities, youths, women employment and empowerment, good healthcare delivery system and dynamic foreign policy.
He added that Jonathan’s presidency has brought peace and stability to the Niger Delta region, upheld the doctrine of rule of law as well as given INEC a free hand to conduct free, fair and credible elections.
