The Commissioner representing Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe local government areas on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr Henry Ofa (JP), has condemned the alleged false alarm raised by AIT that irate youths in Oghara beat up one of their reporters and destroyed their camera.
Ofa, who addressed journalists in Oghara over the report on AIT, said the reporters were wicked by reporting falsehood, stressing that he was on ground at Uherevie Primary School to cast his vote when a minor disagreement occurred between the reporters and few persons which he personally intervened immediately before they left Oghara.
He wondered how they could cook up such a wicked report on his peace loving community.
He said after that experience, the AIT crew interviewed him before they left as they were neither molested nor assaulted in any form, pointing out that their lies against Oghara people could have been sponsored through the station by the opposition who hired them to go to Oghara and embarrassed them in the community. He challenged them to show them the evidence of how they were bitten up with signs of injury or damage of their camera or any physical assault on them that could warrant that wicked and satanic report.
