FORMER militants’ generals in the Niger Delta region have been urged to garner support for the incoming administration of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

Leader of the ex-militants’ generals under the auspices of All Progressive Congress (APC) Security Committee, Commander Bibi Oduku, made the appeal in Warri North Local Government area of Delta State while speaking to the ex-militants generals across the region.

Oduku, who said his leadership as the head of the ex-militants’ generals will usher in even representation and developmental projects, advised them to ignore side-talks and focus on the change that the incoming administration of Buhari will offer the Niger-Delta region.  “We are appealing to all of us to shun all sorts of violence in the Niger-Delta region of the country now that we have gotten a listening President who does not take rubbish; we saw his recent action when he warned his convoy to obey traffic, something we have not seen in the African country.

“Am very confident that nobody will be left behind in the scheme of things and that is why we need absolute and relative peace in the region in order to give his administration smooth drive from the inception to the end,” he said.

The Director of Publicity of the group, Comrade Samco Ese, who responded at the meeting of the Niger-Delta ex-militants’ generals said there is explicit confidence having the region under the leadership of Commander Bini Oduku as the head of the region.

He called on all the generals to queue behind him to ensure that the region experiences a rapid development under the incoming government of their President-elect, Bibi Oduku.
