The Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Dr Janet Oyubu, has noted that although the last election process in the state was not absolutely free and fair, there was still the need to restrategise to retake Delta State in future elections.
“We have to come out to teach the change we are preaching, that election victory should be by proper voting and not manipulating.
“So nobody was a winner in the past election and we are trying to make the process a proper one as people are still hijacking,” Oyubu said.
She spoke at a news conference at her residence in Jesse.
The women party leader, who commended the senatorial candidate of the party, Chief Alims Agoda, for being an outstanding leader, also urged the party members to be stronger from what they have learnt from the immediate past elections.
“We all know that there were no elections in Delta where accredited card readers were lower than votes; so the people are not celebrating and we are not happy because we know they were robbed.
“So, we are all here to see how we can make election proper voting,” Oyubu said.
She expressed confidence that the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, would deliver to Nigerians after assuming office on May 29.
