Delta State Commissioner for Local Government, Dr. Ben Iwezu, has commended the Ukwuani Local Government Chairman, Mrs. Benedicta Ndudi Osakunih Izuegbu, for ensuring cordiality and unity in the council area.
The commissioner gave the commendation during a working visit to Ukwuani where he described the chairman as pro-active, a performer and a mother.
He noted that there is no case of disunity in the council area as it is in some others now turned to “judicial centres”.
Iwezu also emphasised that the council’s boss has not neglected the responsibility of security in the council area hence the state Governor has not called his attention to any anomaly in the Ukwuani Local
Government, adding that when lives and properties are well secured, they attract development to the area.
Earlier, the council chairman had appreciated the commissioner’s visit while informing him that her administration has been trying its best to ensure that there is no incidence of breakdown of law and order in the area.
The chairman also stressed that her administration was still working out modalities with law enforcement agencies to scale up the peace and security being enjoyed in the local government area. As part of the visit, ongoing projects in the council area were inspected.
