FORMER Chairman of the Ethiope East Local Government Council of Delta State and Director of Youth Mobilisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Sunday Onoriode, has assured Deltans and the youths of the party in particular of better years ahead as the Governor-elect, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, prepares to assume duty.
Onoriode, who made this remark at his country home in Abraka while playing host to the youths for voting PDP candidates across the state and importantly, the Governor-elect, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, said there is no gainsaying the fact that with the emergence of Okowa, Delta State will witness an unprecedented progress.
He thanked the youths over the manner they comported themselves before, during and after the elections.
Onoriode, who also commended the women and men of the party for coming out en mass to exercise their franchise by voting candidates of the PDP, said the party has rich programmes to accommodate all party faithful and defectors to the party. He called on all Deltans to queue behind the PDP, which he described as the winning train, saying the victory of Okowa is a victory for all.
