A group, Delta Vision, has expressed confidence that Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and Warri North House of Assembly candidate, Chief Michael Diden, are going to emerge as winners of the positions “following their huge acceptability by the people atthe grassroots.”
President of the group, Mr Monday Edemivwaye, said this while addressing the media in Sapele, adding that the opposition in the state did not pose a threat to either of the candidates.
“Bringing Okowa is like God has remembered Delta State to elevate it and to bring an end to the suffering of the people. So for Okowa to even accept to contest is great joy to us because the people of Delta State are eager to see him sworn in as governor of the state.”
Edemivwaye also expressed confidence that Diden would emerge tops the House of Assembly election because of “his heavy presence at the grassroots and his ability to carry the youth along.”
“We will only wait for him to be sworn in because he was endorsed by the youths, so I know he has a lot for them and the entire Warri North will be happy over his emergence.”
On the postponement of the elections, Edemivwaye noted that the decision taken by INEC to postpone the election was right.
