A real estate management consultant based in Sapele, Delta State, Daniel Omamogho, has presented a parcel of land measuring 100ft x 100ft to Chief Henry Ofa, Commissioner representing Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe, Uvwie and part of Warri South local government areas on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) the development the oil bearing communities in his mandate areas.
Omamogho, while presenting documents of the land, which is situated along Omamogho Road, off Okeregbagha Road Okurighwre, Sapele, said he has followed the commissioner’s activities since he was appointed by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, and stated that Ofa has executed life-transforming projects in his mandate areas.
He described performing commissioner and a square peg in a square hole.
The real estate consultant, who hails from Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiop West Local Government Area, averred that he pondered how best he could appreciate the commissioner for his good works and came up with the idea to donate parcel of land to him for the development of the community Omamogho also commended the Okurighwre community leaders and chiefs for their cooperation and hospitality.
Secretary of Okurighwre community Mr. Dickson Omoraka, who spoke on behalf of the community, commended Ofa for his benevolent spirit, which he said enabled him transform the communities across his mandate areas since his appointment as the Commissioner.
He appealed to the commissioner to repair the bad roads in Okurighwre community, especially the road linking Okeregbagha opposite the Okurighwre police station down to Omamogho Crescent via Seplat flow station, he said which is usually unmotorable during the rainy season.
Ofa, who received the gift of land, said this was the first in his life he had such experience, that thoughpeople from other parts of Okpe and Sapele were daily coming to his house to render their appreciation for what he is doing in the communities.
Ofa, while listing the projects he has attracted to his mandate areas to the leaders of Amukpe and Okurighwre communities, commended Uduaghan, who gave him the opportunity to serve his people.
He assured them that their request would be included in the 2015 budget for execution, while appealing that they should vote every PDP candidate in the general elections.
