Urhobo Grassroots Political Force has called on the people of Deltan State to vote en mass for Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, flag bearer the Labour Party (LP) in the forthcoming general elections of February 28th 2015.

In a statement issued shortly after its national meeting in Effurun at the weekend, the group called on all Deltans, irrespective of their ethnic background, to vote en mass “for our brother, son and the people’s general, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, of the Labour Party on the 28th of February, 2015.

“Our votes for him will give us the greatest opportunity to experience the true dividends of democracy in our dear state.”

While stressing the need for a change in Delta State through the people’s votes the statement noted that Ogboru is the most popular and acceptable candidate of all the candidates that are contesting for the Delta State governorship seat as could be seen in all the Labour Party rallies, adding, “the multitude of people you see in these rallies are not borrowed or influenced with money unlike the PDP, which uses the state government machinery and APC which uses wealth”

The statement, therefore, called on Delta People to show their love and support for Ogboru by voting en mass for him in the forthcoming elections.

In a brief chat with newsmen, the National Publicity Secretary of Urhobo Grassroots Political Force, Onomiabo Kigho, disclosed that though the group comprised over 45 members that cut across the state and non-Deltans in the state and that the group has defined grassroots structures and coordinators in the 25 local government areas of the state.
