A pressure group, Concerned Deltans for Okowa, has vowed to deliver the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ifeanyi Okowa, in the February general elections.
The group, which said this while briefing its coordinators across the 25 local government areas of Delta State on the activities the group will undertake ahead of the February general elections.
It said Okowa has made it easy for the group through the relationship he has built across ethnic nationalities in the state.
In a press statement released by the state coordinator and director of publicity, Prince Okiemute Ogbon and Comrade Donald Atatah, the group said it would embark on a house-to-house campaign to garner support for their principal at the election.
The group, which appealed to all local government coordinators in the twenty five local government area, added that they will be saddled with the responsibility of taking the campaign of their principal to the every nook and cranny of the state to ensure that victory was theirs at the end of the election.
The statement called on Deltans to turn out en masse to vote for Okowa, who it said, has been in the mainstream of Delta politics as local government chairman, Commissioner for Health and Secretary to Delta State Government. The group added that Okowa is a former senator.
