Urhobo Awareness Youth Association has pledged to work for the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the February 2015 general elections.
The group’s support for Okowa was expressed in a statement shortly after its general meeting in Effurun.
The group in the statement urged Delta people to vote for the PDP and Okowa in the forthcoming general elections.
“PDP has done marvelously well for Deltans and of all the candidates that are contesting in the governorship race to Government House, Asaba, Okowa is the best owing to his wealth of experience in politics right from is councillorship days till date. He is a grassroots politician with people-oriented vision and mission,” the froup said. The statement noted that Okowa’s victory at the PDP governorship primary was due to his cordial relationship with the various ethnic groups in the state.
The statement signed by the national chairman of Urhobo Awareness Youth Association, Comrade Tega Ugberikoko, enjoined youths in Delta State to mobilise for Okowa in the forthcoming governorship election.
“For Senator Okowa is a symbol of hope for the youths and indeed all Deltans,” the group added.
