President of Virtuous Touch International Initiative, Mrs. Joy Onofurho, has re-affirmed her resolve to empower women in Nigeria.

She disclosed this at the organisation’s 12th year anniversary ceremony in Benin City.  Pastor Onofurho stated that many lives had been transformed by the educative, enlightenment and empowerment programmes of the organisation, adding that initiatives were sponsored by the group since its establishment.

She, however, noted that, the group is committed to raising a formidable team of women who would transform Nigeria and the world as well as give solace to needy women and those who have been sexually, physically, emotionally and mentally abused.

Listing some of the achievements of the group, the cleric said that over 500 women have so far benefited from training programmes in catering, management and craft organised across 27 states where it has chapters.

She said the group also distributed items, including cash, house equipment, working equipment and food stuff to alleviate the suffering of the needy in society. Pastor Onofurho told newsmen that her passion to alleviate the suffering of the Nigerian women and make them independent motivated her to create a channel through which she contributes her quota to put smiles on women faces.
