He made the promise when he collected governorship nomination form from the party’s National Chairman, Abdulkadir Salam, at the party’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.

According to him, if elected, his priority will be to provide infrastructure, access to education, health, as well as ensure that the people have a sense of belonging.

“There must be dignity in whatever people do and that will give them a sense of belonging.

“There will be job opportunities, among others,’’ he said.

He said that his former party, the Democratic Peopl’s Party joined the Labour Party in the quest to ensure and sustain the growth of democracy.

“We know that joining the Labour Party will not give us any hurdle; members will work with us shoulder to shoulder to make sure that Delta gets free and fair election.

“We are going to have one man one vote; we will do our possible best to make sure democracy and social justice thrive in Delta.’’

Earlier, Salam said the Labour Party belongs to all Nigerian workers, market women, traders, okada riders, students, youths, among others.

He said the party would support Ogboru, adding that he would not regret joining and picking the party’s nomination form.

“We will campaign at community and local government levels in Delta to win the forthcoming election,’’ he said.

National Youth Leader of the party, Mr Andrew Ukpebitere, called for  house-to-house campaign for the aspirant in 2015.

“We are going to mobilise the youth to support him to emerge as the governor of Delta State come 2015,’’ he said.

Speaking with newsmen, Mr Dan Nwanyanwu, Chairman, Board of Trustee of the party, assured the aspirant that the 2015 election would be free and fair.

Nwanyanwu said INEC had introduced measures to ensure credible, free and fair elections in 2015.

According to him, the party will emerge stronger after 2015 as it is currently going through transformation.
