DELTA State Commissioner in charge of the Directorate of Youth Development, Ebifa Ijomah, has charged the three youths elected to represent the state in the Nigerian Youth Parliament in Abuja to be good ambassadors of the state.
Ijomah, who gave the charge when the state representatives paid him a thank you visit in his office in Asaba, said the call became necessary in view of the enviable position of the state in the socio-political and economic development of the country.
While urging them to remain focused, law abiding and be supportive of government policies and programmes, he also admonished them not allow themselves to be used by selfish and dubious politicians as the 2015 general election draw near.
Those elected to represent the state are Comrade Obinne Ralph Agbanashi (Delta North); Okporu Ebi Augustine (Delta South); and Miss Ogbe Catherine Okiemute (Delta Central); they all took turn to thank the Commissioner for providing not only a level playing field for their emergence as representatives of the state but also the way he has been coordinating youths across the state, especially during the recently concluded local government elections.
