ANIOCHA/OSHIMILI Federal Constituency has passed a vote of confidence in the Senator Representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, calling on him to contest the governorship election next year.
Arising from an enlarged meeting of the group in Asaba, Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency, Chief Adezue Eluaka, said the vote of confidence passed in the governorship aspirant was predicted on his numerous achievements both in his constituency, various offices has held and at the Senate. The group maintained that besides other achievements, Okowa’s pedigree places him above other aspirants having held various offices as Secretary and Chairman, Ika North East Local Government Council, one time Commissioner for Water Resources, Agriculture and Health among several others.
The vote of confidence which was moved by Austin Onianwa and seconded by Hon Afam Ijie, was endorsed by the over 10,000 persons drawn from Aniocha North, Aniocha South and Oshimili North respectively, maintaining that Okowa is fit for the governorship job among the various governorship aspirants.
