Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has assured the people of Idumuebo Community in Ubiaja, Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state of his plan to renovate Oghenyen Primary School in the community.
Oshiomhole disclosed this during the burial ceremony of Madam
Elizabeth Edekhelen Eidaghese (nee Oaikhena), the mother in-law of Abdul Oroh, the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources held at the primary school.
The primary school which had been in a dilapidated state over the years, however, came to the attention of the governor, consequent of which he declared to the residents and the elders of the community of intending government presence in the area.
Oshiomhole, who expressed concern over the state of the school buildings, said his administration was committed to the development of infrastructural facilities in the school to create the enabling environment for effective learning.
Also at the occasion was the wife of the state Deputy Governor, Deaconess Endurance Odubu, Civil Commissioners, Special Advisers and Senior Special Advisers, Staff of the State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, ex-Commissioners, as well as ex-Permanent Secretary, Prince Matthew Ogedengbe.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, a son-in-law to the late Madam Elizabeth Edekhelen Eidaghese expressed appreciation to Oshiomhole, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, and his wife, Deaconess Endurance, for their show of love towards him and his family. Oroh also acknowledged everyone who stood by them throughout the period of the burial ceremony.
The residents who were elated by the promise of the governor extolled his leadership qualities and pray God to give him more strength to carry on with his good works, adding that he has performed more than expectation.
