Commendation has come the way of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State for his giant strides in infrastructure development and restoring peace and security to the state which was wracked by ethnic conflict. National Chairman, Ogbinbiri community in Warri North, Joel Bisina gave the commendation while interacting with the media in Warri, saying that the governor deserves to be patted on the back for some of his people-oriented policies. According to him, Uduaghan’s policies have impacted positively on the lives on the people of especially those at the grassroots.

He listed some of the administration’s achievements to include the Asaba airport, the dualization of Ughelli/ Asaba road, the poverty alleviation programme, transport scheme, among others.

Besides, he praised the governor for restoring peace and security to the state which was a hotbed ethnic conflagration, especially in the Warri area, which made it a no-go area for foreign investors and Nigerians.

He said: “You would appreciate the fact that he became governor when the state especially the Warri area was just recovering from so many years of ethnic conflicts. And he happened to come from one of the ethnic nationalities that was involved in the conflict. So it requires that level of resilience, that level of dexterity to be able to blend and bring everybody on board and I think he has done that very well.

“Whether you like it or not, if you look at the security situation in Delta State, its much better than some few years back.  There was a time Delta State was like a no go area. It was so terrible and kidnapping was the order of the day; crimes was at its peak. Today, in Warri, sometimes, I drive around 1 or 2am. You know these are all credits to the administration.
