Edo State House of Assembly has given kudos to the Chairman, Ovia North East Local Government Council, Mrs. Lucy Omagbon, for transforming the fortunes of the local government.
The commendation was expressed when the council boss appeared before it to give account of her stewardship to the lawmakers.
Satisfied with the council boss performance, the only female legislator in the House, Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie, in her remark during the briefing, described the council boss as an asset to the local government area.
Ativie remarked that Omagbon with her magic wand has brought the local government, with a deficit account when she (Omagbon) assumed office to one that could boast of infrastructural development.
“I can remember how this woman used to cry to us, complaining about financial challenges, overstaffing and other problems capable of hindering development.
“She has done well by putting the council in better stead, against all odds.
“Therefore, she deserves commendation so as to spur her to do more,” according to Ativie.
