The people of Odegu communities in Emohua Local Government Area have applauded the developmental scorecard of the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, since his assumption of office in 2007.
The Odegu communities equally commended the Federal lawmaker representing Ikwerre/Emohua in the National Assembly, Chief Andrew Uchendu, for his stunning performance in attracting development to the area.
Paramount ruler of Odegu clan, Oha David O. Uchendu, disclosed this weekend during a solidarity visit to the Federal lawmaker, Chief Andrew Uchendu, in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
He explained that they were on the visit to thank Governor Chibuike Amaechi and the Federal lawmaker, Chief Andrew Uchendu, for making frantic efforts at bringing people-oriented projects to the grassroots to improve the well-being of the people who voted them to power.
Also, a member of the delegation, Emenike Ebete, said the accolade on Governor Amaechi and Chief Uchendu was a demonstration of satisfaction of the performance of their political leaders towards improving the living standard of the people.
“We are here to pledge our support for Governor Amaechi and Chief Andrew Uchendu. This is because, most Odegu communities in Emohua Local Government Area have people-oriented projects including Model Primary Schools, Model Health Care Centres to improve the living standard of our people. By this development therefore, we are ready to follow Governor Amaechi where ever he goes, he is our leader”, Enenike said.
In a related development, Former Caretaker Committee chairman of Emohua local government council, Prophet Azumba Nkomadu, said, the decision of the Odegu council of chiefs to thank Governor Amaechi and Chief Uchendu on their pragmatic performances were a fulfillment of their electoral promises to the people.
