The Operation Disarm World Evangelical (Interdenominational) fellowship has organized a three-day prayer and fasting session to intercede for the unconditional release of the Chibok school girls abducted by members of Boko Haram, as well as for peace to reign in Nigeria.

The session held in Benin City and with the theme: “Let the Righteous rule the land,” climaxed with a rally in some major streets in Benin City.

At the rally, the coordinator of the fellowship, Evangelist Helen Ugochukwu, stated that it is high time righteousness is enthroned in Nigeria for peace to reign so that peace and development can begin to manfiest. According to her, development and progress are derivatives of peace in Nigeria.

She enjoined those in leadership to be God fearing and imbibe the culture of discipline, without which all efforts geared at peace building would be to no avail.

Admonishing youth on the need to be focused and adequately prepared for leadership roles that the future holds them,  Ugochukwu also advised them to shun crime and criminality including armed robbery, kidnapping, assassination, while fleeing from social vices.

She listed the social vices to include, cultism, and thuggery, noting that these acts are tools through which the devil ensnares the youths and truncate their future.
