The Assistant Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State and former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state, Andrew Akhabue, has called on the people of the state to continue to have confidence in the State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.
Akhabue who made the appeal in Benin City, stressed the need for the people to remain focused and continue to have implicit confidence in the state governor who has done so much for the state.
He also urged them to ignore detractors of the governor from continuing with his transformation agenda, advising them not to be deceived by those who do not mean well for the state.
On the crisis rocking the state House of Assembly, the former council boss described it as unfortunate and therefore urged the suspended members of the House to obey the rule of law and seek judicial redress, where necessary.
According to him, the hidden agenda of PDP to ensure that the National Assembly takes over the functions of Edo State House of Assembly will not see the light of day.
